Every size its own stock, every piece its own GST

Each size and colour is stocked as its own item with its own barcode. At the counter the bill picks 5% or 18% from the price of each piece, and an exchange bills only the difference.

Sizes and colours

A style comes in six sizes and three colours. The software keeps track of them so the cashier does not have to.

Variants under a style

List every size and colour of a style, like Red / L, with its own SKU and price.

A barcode for each item

Sizes you stock as items get their own barcode, so the scanner picks the exact piece.

Price labels

Print barcode labels with the price and MRP for the tags on your racks.

Reorder points

Set a reorder point on each size so you order M and L before the weekend.

GST by price

The slab is picked line by line

Garments are taxed by the value of each piece. A piece up to ₹2,500 is charged 5%, and a piece above ₹2,500 is charged 18%. The POS checks the price on each line, so one bill can carry both rates.

A ₹2,500 kurta stays at 5%. A ₹3,499 blazer on the same bill goes to 18%. Both show up under their own rate in your sales by GST rate.

  • Works on garment lines set at 5%, 12% or 18%
  • Checked on the price of one piece before GST
  • Set again when you change the price on an invoice
  • No cashier guessing at the counter

Exchanges

Swap a size without two separate bills

The customer brings back a kurta in M and wants an L. One exchange takes care of the return and the new sale.
  • Find the bill

Switch to Return and enter the bill number. Pick the pieces coming back, within 15 days of the bill.

  • Bill the new piece

Tap Return & sell replacement, scan the new size and see the net amount to collect or refund.

  • Books stay straight

The return raises a credit note against the original bill and the piece goes back into stock.

For example, a kurta bought at ₹1,899 plus 5% GST comes back, so ₹1,993.95 is refunded. A ₹2,299 kurta goes out at ₹2,413.95. The customer pays ₹420.00 and gets one receipt for the exchange.

Set up your shop in an afternoon

  1. 01

    Choose Apparel at signup

Your workspace opens with apparel defaults: 5%, 12% and 18% GST and the price-based slab on the POS.

  2. 02

    Add your styles

Add each style, list its variants, and add the sizes you stock as items with their own barcode.

  3. 03

    Print labels

Print barcode labels with price and MRP for the tags.

  4. 04

    Scan, bill and swap

Scan at the counter, let the bill pick the GST slab, and handle exchanges from the Return screen.

Variants listed under a style keep their own SKU and price, but they do not carry separate stock and are not picked at the POS yet. To count and scan each size, add it as its own item. Exchanges are made at the POS counter, not from the invoice screen.

Questions about sizes, colours and exchanges

Something not covered here? Call or WhatsApp us and you'll speak to the people who build the product.

For apparel shops, a garment line taxed at 5%, 12% or 18% is charged by its price per piece before GST: 5% up to ₹2,500 and 18% above it. The POS does this on every line, and on an invoice the rate is set again whenever you enter the price on the line.

Yes. Open the product and add its variants, such as Red / L, each with its own SKU and selling price. If you want to count and scan each size on its own, add the sizes you stock as separate items, each with its own barcode and stock.

Switch the POS to Return, enter the bill number, pick the pieces coming back and tap Return & sell replacement. Scan the new piece and the screen shows the difference to collect or refund. Both happen in one step.

Counter returns and exchanges are taken within 15 days of the original bill. After that the POS tells you the return window has closed.

The refund is worked out from what the customer actually paid for that piece, after the line and bill discount, not from the price tag. A piece cannot be returned more times than it was sold.

Yes. Print a 50 × 30 mm label for any item with your shop name, the item name, a barcode of its code, and the price with MRP if you have set one.
